Phrases I Loathe


Why aren't you living up to your potential?


I know you can do better.


Those are shallow standards.

I absolutely adore any post that's subject includes the word loathe :)

I agree. I remember people saying those things to me, and the undue guilting associated with them. Once you reach adulthood the great news is you can just say, "I'd rather not talk about this" or "These kinds of conversations make me feel bad about myself, so if they are going to continue, I we won't be seeing as much of each other"

Thats how it goes in my life, anyway :)
